American Muslim Peace Initiative (AMPI) remembers the despicable murder of thousands of fellow Americans this day five years ago by terrorists claiming to be Muslims with deep sadness for this irreparable national loss.   

 9/11 and the events that followed have reaffirmed our faith that violence has no place in our society under any circumstances.  It has no justification in human discourse and it is counterproductive.  9/11 has forced all of us to look inwards and unequivocally reject the path of bloodshed, and to initiate the urgent dialogue to understand, acknowledge and accept the wisdom of Almighty in creating diversity amongst us.

 These past five years since that terrible disaster remind us that we will defeat the scourge of terrorism not by winning wars but by winning peace.  Today, AMPI reaffirms its pledge to continue its efforts of initiating and promoting inter-faith dialogue to achieve understanding, harmony, and peace.
